COLOURS OF CAPE TOWN

January has become our South Africa month. It has been for 4 years now. Ever since that first trip where we took off in a car from Johannesburg all across the country - there was definitely a special connection.

(If you'd like to dive into our first roadtrip, check out this one and this and also this one right here and that one and number five and finally after 4 weeks: number six).

We love this country and its people so much. So this year, what originally was planned to be only a trip to shoot Lu and Alex's elopement, ended up being a 3 week stay. During which this and this also happened.

We met up with friends while we were there, went to an open air concert at Kirstenbosch Gardens (Must do! Come early and bring your whole kitchen!) , went winetasting (incredibly, I found a wine that I liked). Witnessed a beautiful elopement, had good conversations, met old clients, one of them opened a new restaurant, discovered 2 great markets: Neighbourgood Market in Woodstock and Root44 in Stellenbosch. I was inspired by people close to my heart: it was a really GOOD time. Although whenever we come to SA we are never relaxed, we always leave full and inspired (and in need of a holiday).

Something else happened this time: we decided this was our last trip to ZA for a while. It's time to go to new places, and discover new stories. So long South Africa, love you lots!
