Sometimes Sspontaneous things are the best. My friend Rebecca and I created these portraits together before she left to move to Cornwall and start a new life there. It was a bittersweet day. Saying goodbye and knowing she is following her heart - which means we won't get to see each other as often. I absolutely adore what we made.

The detail about shooting right before Rebecca left for Cornwall really got me, because those last-minute sessions tend to capture something looser than planned ones ever do. I've noticed the same with old friends, where the rush of an ending somehow makes everyone drop the pretense.
